SUGARCANE PLANTATIONS

VRM products have been used within sugarcane plantations for more than 20 years in Australia.  They have been used to protect the Great Barrier Reef from the impacts of using chemical fertilizer in Queensland

EcoEdge provides a comprehensive solution using VRM products and a Groundswell® continuous fermentation process to reinvigorate the biodiversity in the soil.  This will ultimately provide nutrients to the sugarcane increasing the brix levels and increasing the number of ratoons

The Groundswell® process will also provide irrigation via hydrosynthesis, while capturing carbon from the air to be sequestered into the soil.  All these benefits are achieved by converting the “wastes” from the plantation and mill, such as bergass, mill mud and mill effluent.  We can take all of your organic waste to produce a natural replacement for your chemical fertilizer.

Challenges We Address

By using VRM products on your land and making your own alternative to chemical fertilizer we can address a number of challenges you face on your farm.

Cost

The cost of chemical fertilizer continues to rise year on year

Irrigation

Acts as drought buffering technology during low raifall years

Degradation of Land

The continued use of chemicals destroying the soil for the future

Green House Gas

We reduce the carbon footprint at every strage of the process

Yield

Consistent yields for each ratoon with additional ratoons possible while maintaining brix levels

Waste Water

We fix the waste water challenges faced at your mills

Our goals in your sugarcane plantation from an achievable target perspective are to have a dramatic impact on your input costs.  While we do this we expect to maintain the same yield as with your existing growing process as well as more consistent yields during drought periods.  We would also expect to see improved brix levels in your crops.  We are able to do this as Humisoil® when applied to agricultural land biologically generates water (Hydrosynthesis).

Hands in the Soil

What is Humisoil?

We provide for a complete rebalance of the ecology of the growing matter.  With the ability to produce your own top soil at a fraction of hte cost of fertilizer that can biologically generate water independant of rainfaul and irrigration

The final product we produce is called Humisoil®.  It is high in Humic Acid and Available Phosphorus.  It provides for the ability to add carbon back to the soil and adds nutrients back to the soil rather than depleting it.

CREATING HUMISOIL

Australia and China

Chinese news media interviews showing how they are taking mass organics to produce Humisoil.  Interview with Duncan Sturrock from Sturrocks Cattle Farm talking about the quality of the Humisoil that is produced as part of the Groundswell process.
